What to Expect

• 1.Expect a gentle, hands-on hour with short books, songs, and activities rather than a long sit-still story. Babies can wiggle, vocalize, or need a feed or diaper break.
• 2.Bring whatever helps your baby settle, such as a small blanket or favorite comfort item. The lapsit format means you will be participating together, not leaving your baby to join on their own.
• 3.Arrive a few minutes early so you have time to find the room and get settled before the group starts. Check with the library if you need details about registration or room location.
• 4.Keep your expectations flexible: babies respond differently, and it is completely normal to step out briefly if yours needs a break.
• 5.This is a good first library activity for meeting other caregivers, but conversation can be brief while everyone keeps an eye on their little one.
