- 2.It’s outdoors in Valade Park, so bring water, sunscreen, and a hat; expect a casual park vibe with variable shade.
- 3.If you own a chess set, bring it; there are usually boards and clocks available, but arriving a bit early helps you grab a table.
- 4.Parking nearby is street-based—plan a few extra minutes to find a spot and walk to the park’s gathering area.
- 5.The mood is welcoming and low-pressure: watch a few games, ask for tips, and jump in when you’re ready.
