Free vision screenings for children provided by Oakland County Health Division (by appointment).

What to Expect

• 1.This is a brief vision screening, not a full eye exam, so plan to follow up with an eye care provider if the screening flags a concern.
• 2.Appointments are required, so call ahead to schedule and confirm what information or paperwork to bring.
• 3.Bring your child and any glasses they currently wear; sharing known vision concerns with the staff can be helpful.
• 4.Arrive a little early for check-in, and allow time for the appointment within the posted 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. hours.
• 5.The South Oakland Health Center is a health office, so expect a practical, appointment-based setting rather than a drop-in event.
