Join us at the library to celebrate Earth Day by making sustainable birdfeeders to take home. Grades 5-8
What to Expect
- 1.You’ll build a bird feeder from recycled materials with step-by-step help from library staff, and you can customize it with markers, paint, or ribbons.
- 2.Expect a tween-friendly, focused but friendly room—listen for instructions and don’t be afraid to ask questions if you’re unsure.
- 3.It can get a bit messy, so wear an old shirt or use a provided smock and keep glue and paint off your clothes.
- 4.Sign in at the Youth Services desk when you arrive and plan to get there about 10 minutes early to grab a spot.
- 5.You’ll take your finished feeder home to hang outside and maybe compare notes with friends after the activity.
