What to Expect
- 1.Arrive a little early to check in at the welcome table near the park entrance so you know where the mingle zones are and you can grab a name tag if they have one.
- 2.Dress for outdoors in September in Michigan, wear comfy shoes and bring water and sunscreen since you'll be walking between shade and sun.
- 3.The crowd will be friendly and diverse but not pushy; you can join small groups easily or strike up conversations with the person next to you while you wander the park.
- 4.If there are information tables or activity stations, check them out and ask simple questions like where someone is from or how they heard about the gathering.
- 5.Park seating may be limited, so bring a lightweight blanket or portable chair and be prepared to move between spots as people mingle.
