What to Expect

• 1.Bar Louie in Royal Oak after work gets loud fast, so show up a little early to grab a seat and scan the room for likely conversation groups.
• 2.Have a quick 30-second intro ready that mentions what you do in IT and what you’re hoping to chat about, then lead with a simple question to break the ice.
• 3.Bring a way to share contacts quickly—LinkedIn QR code or a couple of business cards—so you can swap details without juggling phones in a loud bar.
• 4.Keep conversations reciprocal and focused on problem-solving or collaboration; don’t hog a table, and be ready to move to another group if a topic stalls.
• 5.After the night is done, follow up with people you clicked with within 24–48 hours with a specific reference to your chat, and propose a next step.
