About This Event

こんにちは! Do you think your Japanese conversation skills are getting rusty? Let’s practice and learn Japanese together! Knowledge of Hiragana and Katakana required. Ages 13+

What to Expect

• 1.You'll run through short conversation rounds in small groups with guided prompts; come ready to speak even if you stumble.
• 2.The vibe is welcoming and low-pressure, but keep your voice at a library-appropriate level so others can focus.
• 3.Bring a notebook or flashcards for quick kanji vocabulary notes, since Hiragana and Katakana are assumed and used in prompts.
• 4.Park in the library lot and plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in and grab a seat—the room fills up fast.
• 5.If you're shy, team up with a buddy or ask staff for a partner at your level; this group is designed for gradual, comfortable practice.
