Polar Power Walk
About this event
Join Urban Solace for an invigorating power walk on the Detroit Riverfront.
What to Expect
- 1.Dress in warm, waterproof layers with sturdy shoes—February by the riverfront can be windy and slick, so gloves and a hat help.
- 2.Plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early at Valade Park (2670 Atwater Street) for check‑in and to line up with the group; bring water for the 2–3 PM walk.
- 3.The pace will be a brisk power walk led by Urban Solace, but the guide can help you stay sustainable; if you can’t keep up, stay at the back or speak up to adjust.
- 4.Expect scenic river views along the Detroit Riverfront, but watch for icy patches on the path and keep your phone ready for photos or notes.
- 5.Parking near Valade Park can fill up, so consider arriving early, using nearby lots, or taking transit/rideshare; and don’t forget to account for the walk ending around 3 PM.
