What to Expect
- 1.Arrive 5–10 minutes early to check in at the YMCA and grab a mat space; ask the front desk whether mats or props are provided and how long the class runs.
- 2.This class is designed for all levels, so you can modify any pose or skip anything that doesn’t feel right; focus on your breath and your alignment.
- 3.Parking and entry are at the South Oakland Family YMCA (1016 West Eleven Mile Road, Royal Oak); park in the lot and give yourself extra time if it’s busy.
- 4.Wear breathable athletic wear and bring a water bottle; you may want to bring your own mat, though some YMCA locations provide mats.
- 5.If you have injuries or mobility issues, tell the instructor before you start; after class, hydrate and do a few gentle stretches to wind down.
