Ever wanted to learn to make fresh mozzarella and burrata like our Deli kitchen and Zingerman’s cheesemongers? This class is a hands-on and demonstration-based learning opportunity to practice...

What to Expect

  • 1.You'll get hands-on with mozzarella making and practice stretching and shaping curds, with a burrata demo included for good measure.
  • 2.The vibe is friendly and food-forward, typical of Zingerman’s—the group is small to medium and you’ll have plenty of chances to ask questions one-on-one with the instructors.
  • 3.The class starts at 6:30 PM in the Delicatessen kitchen and can run late into the evening, so plan for a longer evening and arrange your ride home accordingly.
  • 4.Dress comfortably and wear closed-toe shoes; the kitchen can get warm and a bit splattery, so avoid loose clothing.
  • 5.You’ll likely take home the mozzarella you made, and you’ll leave with tips to reproduce the results at home.
