What to Expect
- 1.This class uses a chair as the main prop to support gentle yoga poses, so you’ll mostly sit or use the chair for balance—take it at your own pace and skip any move that doesn’t feel right.
- 2.If you have injuries or mobility limits, tell the instructor at sign-in; they’ll tailor poses and props to you.
- 3.Wear comfy clothing and bring water; you probably won’t need a mat since you’re seated, but check if mats are recommended for any floor work.
- 4.Arrive 10–15 minutes early to find the room, check in at the Carls Family YMCA front desk, and ask where to stash belongings; parking is usually available in the lot.
- 5.After class, take a few minutes to stretch and chat with the instructor if you’re new—chair yoga tends to attract beginners and seniors, so expect a friendly, low-pressure vibe.
