What to Expect
- 1.Arrive 10-15 minutes early to check in at the YMCA desk, meet the instructor, and set up your space before the warmup.
- 2.Expect a circuit-style workout that uses resistance bands, free weights, stability balls, and body weight; start lighter and focus on form before chasing heavy sets.
- 3.Hydrate and bring a towel; gym rooms can heat up quickly during strength classes and equipment can get sweaty.
- 4.If you have injuries or limitations, tell the instructor upfront so they can offer safe modifications.
- 5.Be prepared to share equipment in a busy class and wipe down stations after use. If you like the routine, ask for a simple progression plan or take-home tips to continue at home.
