What to Expect
- 1.Arrive 10-15 minutes early to check in and claim a spot; YMCA classes can fill up, so give yourself time to set up.
- 2.This total-body session will cycle through resistance bands, free weights, stability balls, and bodyweight moves—your instructor will demonstrate and offer easier alternatives if you're new to strength training.
- 3.Bring water and a towel; wipe down equipment after use and be prepared to move between stations quickly.
- 4.Wear supportive athletic shoes and breathable clothing; you’ll likely sweat, so dress in layers and have a clean change of clothes if needed.
- 5.Expect a mixed crowd from beginners to regulars; focus on form, listen to your body, and scale workouts to your comfort level.
