What to Expect
- 1.Arrive a few minutes early to check in at the desk and grab a seat close to the discussion circle; after-school traffic can be a bear in Commerce Township.
- 2.If you don’t have a copy, see if the library has a loanable copy or digital version and bring a notebook or device to jot your thoughts as you read.
- 3.The discussion will be guided by a librarian or volunteer, so share what the book sparked for you but don’t worry about having the “right” answer—every perspective matters.
- 4.Keep your voices at a library level and raise your hand or wait your turn when speaking; it’s a tween-focused space, so kindness goes a long way.
- 5.Check the library’s policy on snacks and drinks before you go; plan to bring water only if allowed and avoid messy foods that could distract others.
